Kirk Hipple, Assistant Principal

Mr. Hipple has been an Assistant Principal at Summit Lakes Middle School since 2007. For the 2017-2018 school year, he is responsible for 8th grade student services. Mr. Hipple also serves as the SLMS activities/athletics director.

Mr. Hipple earned his Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education/Physical Education from Baker University in 1997. He received his Masters Degree in Secondary Administration from Central Missouri State University in 2002.

He began his teaching career at Grain Valley High School in 1997, teaching Algebra and Advanced Math. At Grain Valley he was the Head Varsity Volleyball and Golf Coach as well as the Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach. In 2003, he joined the Pleasant Lea Middle School staff as a math teacher and Head Volleyball Coach. Mr. Hipple moved to Lee’s Summit West High School when it opened in 2004. At LSW he taught Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra B, and was a Recovery Math teacher. He was also the Head Girl’s Varsity Basketball Coach where in 2006 his team was Missouri State Runner-Up.
